1. These sites are about Shania Twain. If you have a fan site about Shania Twain, you are welcme to join the ring. All sites highlighting Shania Twain are welcome
2. All requests for the addition to the Webring, will be at the judgement of the Ringmaster. Most sites that ask to join most likely will be added. However, please don't take it personally if your site is not selected.
3. No pornographic sites. This webring will not include any sites that demean or take advantage of Shania Twain.
4. No Hate sites. Only positive websites about Shania.
5. The Correct Webring Fragment must be included either on your "Index Page", or on a "Webring Page" that is directly accessable from your Index Page. I will check the members sites often. The purpose of a Ring, is to form an un-breakable ring, so visitors can surf through every site. If your HTML Fragment is incorrect, or if it is not on your site, then your site will be removed from the ring.
6. Once you have joined, keep both the Webring Home page URL, and my email address of "blueeyedguy830@yahoo.com" on hand, in case you need it. Please feel free to email me with any questions that you have.
Once You Join You can either use the Javascript SSNB Code or you can use the Html Code. (I have examples to both at the bottom of the page. There are advantages and disadvantages to both:
The Javascript SSNB code
The advantages of this are:
1. You only have to have one piece of code on your page even if you have multiple WebRings for that page;
when updates are made to the ring graphics/functionality your page is automatically updated;
2. You never have to edit the code (unless there are major server changes or something similar which happen only once in a blue moon, and would only mean replacing the entire code not editing it).
The disadvantages of the code are:
1. It is Javascript so if someone does not have this enabled on their browser the webring will not work for them.
2. If the load on the WebRing server is high there may be a slight delay in loading your page when someone surfs in (usually minimal unless you have lots of webrings in one stack).
The HTML version of the ring code
The advantages of this code are:
1. It works in all browsers;
there is no delay from the server in loading the page, because the code is static and local.
2.There is no grey Webring banner shown above the ring. If you are familiar with html you may edit the layout of this code, all I require is that you keep the WebRing Title and all the links: how you arrange them is up to you.
The disadvantages are:
1. If anything changes in the ring like ring homepage or ring manager your code will not reflect these changes until you edit it manually,
2. You have to have one set of code for each ring.
To use the Javascript SSNB cut and paste the code shown in the window on the "Get Navigation Code" page onto your site.
You may place the code in one of two places:
1. The page of the registered URL (the one you typed into the submission form). I would prefer this option.
2. A dedicated webring page somewhere on your site. If you do this you must place a link on your registered page that links to your webring page with the word "Webrings" in the title/description of the link.
To use the HTML code
1. Save the picture and banner to your hard drive and upload them to your filemanger.
2. Copy and paste the code at the bottom of this page onto your site.
3. In the htlm where is says <a href="mailto:YOUR EMAIL HERE">Your NAME HERE></a> Change to Your Email Address and to Your name.
4.There are 5 places in the code in the box with the number 11. You need to change the all the 11's to your site ID number.
